Leila and Laila Soureshjani
Leila and Laila were born on February 21, 2007. Doctors at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, diagnosed the twins with Alagille Syndrome at 2 months old. At 4 months old the girls went into liver failure they pulled out of it but at 4 years old both girls were listed for life-saving liver transplants. Leila recieved her call and got her new liver in August of 2011.... Laila remains stable and waiting.
In Wichita, Kansas volunteers are raising funds for transplant patients like local twin girls, Leila and Laila Soureshjani. With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant patients are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure.
The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients.
